"We had the first chance last night, to look at rushes from offshore Hawaii where we are using the ingenious Mako Head to solve the challenges of trying to keep a level horizon shooting sailboats  in big seas and heavy winds - and what an amazing device it is!

We have an F900R mounted on top of a Ronford, mounted on the Mako Head, mounted on legs and sitting locked down in the stern of a rather large Catamaran, but its working!

Once the reaction time of the Mako Head has been matched to sea conditions, its amazing how well it works - in fact the results on the screen are much better than you think when you are using it at sea, simply because one of the great challenges is keeping your eye to the eyepiece when your operating platform is moving around, but the camera is remaining stable at wide and  middle focal lengths !

It's a remarkably ingenious solution to a very difficult shooting environment - but hell does it work well!" See the Video.
